Today marks a major milestone for us at HERE Mobility and a historic day in the evolution of MaaS (Mobility as a Service). Just over 9 months after we got started, we are proud to have completed the first organic ride through the HERE Mobility Marketplace - taking a user from end to end using our platform.
Two months ago, we introduced HERE Mobility at CES, pledging to connect the mobility world while changing the way transportation is presented and consumed. We have been busy meeting with partners to roll out our services and are proud to mark today’s occasion in Amsterdam with our valued partners Merkspace, an international co-working space and private offices company, and TCA taxis.
The HERE Mobility Marketplace offers real-time connection to all available mobility services so that businesses like Merkspace are able to provide better care for customers and employees, by offering increased access to transportation services and freedom of choice.
This historic first ride was booked using the HERE Mobility Self-Service Kiosk at Merkspace after which the rider immediately received a confirmation message to her mobile phone, and a notification with an update on the ride status. The TCA Taxi driver promptly arrived and took her to her destination, completing the first organic ride facilitated fully through our platform.
I am incredibly proud of our progress, it has taken the hard work and tenacity of our entire HERE Mobility team to get us to this point. We share a common vision for the future of mobility, and I feel the excitement in the hallways. With innovative products and a true desire to revolutionize the mobility ecosystem, the road ahead is promising and today we reached a major milestone in our continued journey.
